Error with promo code

Hey Guys,

Just found something. When I create a promo code such as 'julyspecial' it is not accepted as when I am logged out of the website. But is accepted when I am logged into the website. Now I have checked that it is not assigned to any specific user. the user does not need to be logged in.

The weird thing it if I change even one single character in that promo code I can use it while I am logged out of the website. Is there a reason behind this?

Is the promo code restricted to different length of string for logged in user vs logged out user?

hi,

I don't think there are any process differences between the 2 (apart from the user required).

Is this the only promo code you have in your system or maybe there is a duplicate or something?

Hi,

I've just tried it on the demo websites http://ecommerce.nevoweb.com/ and it all seems to work Ok?

If you logon as manager before tomorrow, you'll be able to see what I did. Maybe some other option has been activated on your site?
