Hi there

I have set up my paypal gateway as follows

<root>
<paymentURL>https://www.paypal.com/xclick</paymentURL>
<verifyURL>https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr</verifyURL>
<PayPalID>myemail@mywebsite.com</PayPalID>
<CartName>cart name</CartName>
<ButtonImageURL>http://www.mysite.com/Desktopmodules/NB_Store/img/paypal60x38.gif</ButtonImageURL>
<Currency>GBP</Currency>
<ReturnURL>http://www. mysite.com/Events/Account/tabid/446/stg/5/ordID/[ORDERID]/Default.aspx?PayPalExit=RETURN</ReturnURL>
<ReturnCancelURL>http://www. mysite.com/Events/Account/tabid/446/stg/5/ordID/[ORDERID]/Default.aspx?PayPalExit=CANCEL</ReturnCancelURL>
<ReturnNotifyURL>http://www. mysite.com/Events/Account/tabid/446/stg/4/ordID/[ORDERID]/Default.aspx</ReturnNotifyURL>
<MerchantLanguage>GB</MerchantLanguage>
</root>

but when i go through the process it performs the purchase everything is good and then when i return to merchant it is not visiting the ReturnURL so does not set the status to payment OK.

also i have noticed that in the orders admin section the orders dont seem to have order numbers.

any sugestions?

Hi,

The xml looks fine (although I don't know your exact setup),  The problem could be with your paypal setting not matching what the store expects.

I always setup Paypal with the IPN on. and make sure the notify url is the same in paypal settings as the one in the xml.  I think this is a saver way of setting up the link to the store.  But there is some code in place to update if the IPN fails or is not set.  I would have expected this code to be triggered on return to the store (returnurl).  If you not even returning to the store I would expect that paypal is not getting the information correctly.

have you managed to create the paypal link OK in the sandbox test environment?

i have to admit the sandbopx worked, but only in version 1.0.1

i'll double check the sandbox again later
