Email notice for out of stock products

Is there a way to allow a customer to check a box on an out of stock item to recieve an email automatically when the item is back in stock? If not, would you consider adding it as a feature?

Hi,

Not at the moment, However I think it's a good idea.  I'll move this to a  work item so I remember to add it to the roadmap.  Although I can't see it being implemented within the next couple of releases.
