Install Issue

Hi guys

Just performed an upgrade but got an error at end of the output:

ExceptionSystem.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '\bin\NEvoweb.DNN.Modules.NB_Store.dll' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateFile(String FullFileName, Byte[] Buffer) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateBinFile(PaFile File) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateFiles(PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.Install(PaFolderCollection folders) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

....and now in the module definitions it says all have been upgraded except for NB_Checkout, NB_StoreSearch and NB_OrderHistory which still show old version number.

The shop still functions although the checkout is not working and the backoffice has no Discounts/Promos

What I have I done wrong? :)

Update - I have made sure the dll in question has the correct permissions and it now does.

Reinstalled module got the same error message.

Checkout not functioning. Order History not working. Discounts there but also error loading

Module definitions still showing some of old version numbers and on the Store Admin page have the message:

"Upgrade of Settings Failed. ManagerMenuDefault.xml version 01.02.02 mismatch with NB_Store version 02.00.07 "

Feb 9, 2010 at 9:29 PM sounds like a permissions issue with your server.  Here's what we can try...

Option 1 - Make sure IIS has the correct permission for the folders and try to install again.

Option 2 - do a iisreset and then try to install the upgrade again.

Option 3 - Let go a for a manual install....this should not really be needed and is open to error, but if your in real need...

1 - Unzip the imstall package...

2 - Manual update the dll, can you copy the "NEvoweb.DNN.Modules.NB_Store.dll" to the bin folder manually? you get a permissions error?

3 - upzip the "" file into "/desktopmodules/nb_store" folder.

4 - Re-run the SQL by going into HOST>SQL and loading up the 02.00.00.SqldatProvider, don;t forget to check the "run as script",  then you need to do this for all the following sql updates in order 02.00.01.SqldatProvider,02.00.02.SqldatProvider,02.00.03.SqldatProvider,02.00.05.SqldatProvider & 02.00.06.SqldatProvider.

After this you may have some version mismatches, but you should be working?

Thanks Dave - that did the trick.

We definitely had permissions issue with the server.

Everything is working and have updated functionality as per this release.
