skip stg 3?

Hi, Just wondering if there is a way to skip stg 3 ?

I will just be using DPS payment provider. I'd like the customer enter the address and then directly go to the payment processing page (stg4).

Because for me, the best process will be

1. get the customer see the shopping cart --> they click on "order"

2. enter their address

skip. see the cart again, and choose the only payment option.

3. enter credit card details

4. confirmation

Cheers

Hi Ray,

That's pretty much how it works. I've got it configured like this

Setting: PxPay.gateway

<root>
<paymentURL>https://www.paymentexpress.com/pxpay/pxaccess.aspx</paymentURL>
<PaymentExpress.PxPay>https://www.paymentexpress.com/pxpay/pxaccess.aspx</PaymentExpress.PxPay>
<PxPayUserId>yourID</PxPayUserId>
<PxPayKey>yourkey</PxPayKey>
<ButtonImageURL>/Desktopmodules/NB_Store_GatewayPxPay/pxpay.jpg</ButtonImageURL>
<ReturnURL>http://www.yourdomain.co.nz/Checkout/tabid/1467/stg/5/PxPayExit/RETURN/Default.aspx</ReturnURL>
<ReturnCancelURL>http://www.yourdomain.co.nz/Checkout/tabid/1467/stg/5/PxPayExit/CANCEL/Default.aspx</ReturnCancelURL>
<MerchantLanguage>en</MerchantLanguage>
<InputCurrency>NZD</InputCurrency>
<TxnType>Purchase</TxnType>
<MerchantReference>Whatever</MerchantReference>
</root>

Apply your details to that and give it a try. The gateway isnt' quite out of beta yet, but I've just this minute put a live payment through and so it wont' be far off.

Hi Rob,

Sorry about the confusion, but I mean to skip the "choose payment gateway" step which is stg 3.

So when users finished entering the address and click on next, they will be taken to the DPS payment page (https://www.paymentexpress.com/pxpay/pxpay.aspx).

I'm Sorry if this still doesn't make sense, I'm trying my best to explain.

Thanks very much

Ray

Ok yep I see, we'll have to wait and see what Dave says.

Hi,

The short answer at the moment is NO.  The checkout is designed to show the order totals after the address for delivery has been added (recalculate after address for shipping).  To do this you'll have to change some code.

Regards,

Dave.

ah... That's cool. I'll just leave it as it is. Thanks for the explaination, Cheers.

I agree, for me it's almost the same deal. Customers pay based on the invoice generated by the shop, 'choosing' a payment option makes no sense.
