Audit Logs

The Store will automatically log all changes made to the Settings, Templates, Tax Rates and Shipping Rates. Payment gateway messages are also recorded.

The log files are saved in a folder called LogFiles in the Portal root and contain "datetime - usename - controlname - procedurename - xml of object changed".

These logs are not cleared automatically and depending on your file and folder permissions, may not even be accessible to non-Admin users. Therefore efforts must be made to check on these files now and then and clear them out if they are not required.

Tip: If you accidentally delete a template, or overwrite the wrong template whilst editing in the Back Office, you can still find your last edit in the most recent log file.
